CREATIVE COMPETITION- A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PRISON MOUSE

Entrants were asked to draw a comic strip showing a day in the life of our 17th century mouse, meeting John Bunyan, and showing some of the conditions in prison at that time. We had entries from 175 children from 2 schools and 2 independent entries.  A big ‘Thank You’ to the three judges; John Bunyan Museum’s Education Volunteer Alison King, Basement at Bunyan’s artist-in-residence Anne-Marie Stijelja, and Prison Chaplin of HMP Bedford; Nacer Amraoui.

 

They awarded the following prizes:
 
SCHOOL YEARS 1-2
1ST Prize Mary Farquhar – from Somerset, 2nd Prize Amelia Newbury-Thornley – Wilstead Primary, 3rd Prize Evie Raubery-  Wilstead Primary, and Highly Commended Daniel Green – Wilstead Primary

YEARS 3-4
1st Prize Sophie Walton-Kale – Putnoe Primary, 2nd Prize Freya Hodges – Wilstead Primary, 3rd Prize Eabha Sweeny – Wilstead Primary, and Highly Commended Lillie- Wilstead Primary

YEARS 5-7
1st Prize Alaia Walton-Kale – Putnoe Primary, 2nd Prize Hanna Wegner – Putnoe Primary, 3rd  Prize Olivia Stone – Wilstead Primary, and Highly Commended Alyssa MH Carthy – Wilstead Primary
